Alice Waters, 64, is a legend in the organic, sustainable, slow food movement in America and internationally. She is the owner of the famous Chez Panisse restaurant (where the menu changes daily) in Berkeley, CA, the author of eight cookbooks, and one of the founders of the Slow Food movement. She is also the motivator behind the Edible Schoolyard movement, teaching children how to grow, prepare, and savor fresh food in sustainable ways right on the school grounds.
